American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a short-term acute care hospital in Lancaster, SC, requiring prior travel nursing experience and active SC or Compact RN licensure.

- Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit of a 97-bed short-term acute care hospital \n
- Night shift schedule (7p–7a), available as 3x12s or 4x12s \n
- Patient ratios of 1:6 to 1:7 \n
- Every other weekend required \n
- No on-call requirements \n
- Floating within scope to like units or sister facilities may be required to meet facility needs \n
- Charting via Epic EMR \n
- Free parking on-site \n

- Active SC RN license or Compact RN license; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered but must have an active license prior to start \n
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) \n
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required \n
- Med/Surg experience required \n
- Telemetry experience preferred, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias \n
- Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered \n
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration \n
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration \n

- A virtual interview with the Nursing Director is required for all candidates \n
- Required online modules must be completed prior to the start date; access is typically granted by the Wednesday before the start date \n
- Attendance at staff meetings is required \n
- Royal Blue scrubs required \n
- Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler \n
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs \n
- Local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) are accepted; non-local candidates are given priority consideration \n
- Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak months are August and September \n
