Job Summary:
\nThe Cardiac Sonographer performs comprehensive diagnostic echocardiographic procedures under the direction of physicians and the Director of Cardio/Pulmonary/Neurology. The technologist is responsible for obtaining high-quality cardiac images, assisting physicians with advanced cardiac procedures, and ensuring accurate diagnostic testing while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

Requirements:
\n ✅ Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Sonography experience
\n ✅ Experience performing and interpreting:
- \n
- 2D Echocardiograms \n
- M-Mode \n
- Doppler Echocardiography \n
✅ Current RDCS or RCS registration required
\n ✅ BLS Certification required
\n ✅ Completion of an accredited Cardiac Sonography program required
\n ✅ CAAHEP-accredited Cardiac Sonography certificate program (or equivalent) required
\n ✅ Travel experience required
\n
Required Skills & Experience:
\n✅Mammography procedures
\n✅Breast ultrasound support
\n✅Bone density imaging (DEXA)
\n✅Breast biopsy procedures
\n✅Outpatient imaging services
\n✅Patient positioning and breast imaging techniques
\n✅Quality imaging practices and radiation safety standards
\n\n
✅Perform and interpret diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations, including:
\n- \n
- M-Mode \n
- 2D Echocardiography \n
- Color Doppler \n
- Pulsed Wave Doppler \n
- Continuous Wave Doppler \n
- Stress Echocardiograms \n
- Stress Doppler Studies \n
- Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE) \n
✅Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain accurate and diagnostic-quality images.
\n✅Perform non-invasive cardiac testing including EKGs, stress testing, and Holter monitoring.
\n✅Review patient clinical history to determine exam requirements and ensure appropriate imaging protocols.
\n✅Position patients properly and adjust equipment settings to optimize image quality.
\n✅Analyze images and perform complete documentation of findings.
\n✅Assist cardiologists with TEE procedures and Dobutamine stress echocardiograms as needed.
\n✅Explain procedures to patients and provide compassionate care throughout testing.
\n✅Maintain equipment quality and ensure compliance with hospital standards.
\n✅Protect patient privacy, dignity, and rights while providing care.
\n✅Complete documentation, reporting, and billing processes accurately and efficiently.
