Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position in Paducah, KY, requiring BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications with on-call responsibilities every third weekend.

  • Located within a large surgical services department featuring 15 OR suites (including hybrid and cardiothoracic), PACU, sterile supply, and pharmacy
  • \n
  • Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 36 hours per week over three 12-hour shifts
  • \n
  • On-call expectations include every third weekend (12 hours/day) and six weeknights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) per six-week period
  • \n
  • 13-week contract
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky or a compact state currently in hand
  • \n
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
  • \n
  • ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
  • \n
  • Critical care experience preferred
  • \n
  • Date of birth (MM/DD) and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
  • \n
  • Copies of certifications required for consideration
  • \n

  • Responsibilities include patient assessment, individualized care planning, patient and family education, and coordination of admissions, transfers, and discharges
  • \n
  • Delegates tasks to and monitors care provided by other team members as part of an interprofessional team
  • \n
  • Participates in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and CAUTI monitoring
  • \n
  • Nursing practice is evidence-based and guided by hospital policies, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines
