Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med-Surg/Step-Down position requiring SC licensure, 2 years of med-surg experience, and comfort with frequent floating across units.

Details\n

\n
• Work in a 22-bed adult Med-Surg Oncology unit (5T) within a hospital setting
\n
• This is a Med-Surg role that frequently floats to Step-Down and Med-Surg/Tele units — candidates must be comfortable performing in all three settings
\n
• Step-Down patient ratio is 1:4-5; Med-Surg patient ratio is 1:5-6
\n
• Schedule includes weekdays, every other weekend, floating, and holidays as needed
\n
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
\n
• EMR: Meditech
\n
• IV start skills required
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active SC RN license or compact license accepted with SC as home state — must already be in hand
\n
• Current BLS certification required
\n
• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg experience required
\n
• Step-Down/PCU experience required in addition to Med-Surg background
\n
• IV start proficiency required
\n
• Travel nursing experience preferred
\n
• No license or background violations will be accepted
\n
• Must provide two professional references for consideration
\n
• PDF copies of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
\n
• Frequent floating between Step-Down, Med-Surg, and Tele units is expected — candidates must be fully comfortable with this requirement
\n
• Scrubs are not provided; royal blue or white scrubs required
\n
• Contract extension is possible
\n
