American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a combined ER/Med Surg position at a Critical Access Hospital, requiring rotating day/night shifts and proficiency in both emergency and medical-surgical care.

- Acute care setting at a Critical Access Hospital (CAH) \n
- Combined ER and Med Surg unit with 14 beds \n
- Rotating 12-hour day and night shifts (days: 0700–1930, nights: 1900–0730) depending on staffing needs \n
- Every other or third weekend required \n
- Floating between ER and Med Surg departments required \n
- Potential to work alone with on-call responsibilities \n
- Epic EMR used for charting \n
- Omnicell automated medication dispensing system in use \n
- 13-week contract \n

- Active MN RN license required \n
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and TNCC or CALS for ED \n
- PALS preferred \n
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg RN experience required \n
- ER training required — must be able to work both Med Surg and ER \n
- Experience in a Critical Access Hospital required \n
- Must be willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, and float to other units \n
- Two professional references required: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and one from a peer or supervisor in the same specialty within the last 3 years \n
- All certifications must be active (no pending certifications accepted) \n
- COVID vaccine required \n

- Responsible for implementing the full nursing process — assessment, diagnosis, care planning, intervention, evaluation, and documentation \n
- Candidates with previous employment at any Sanford Health location must disclose it; prior Sanford employees must have an end date at least 6 months prior to their consideration date \n
- Candidates with a permanent address within 80 miles of the facility are eligible to apply \n
- Navy blue scrubs required \n
- All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility \n
