American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum position in New Albany, IN, working night shifts on a 13-week contract.

- Hospital-based Women's Health Services unit covering Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Recovery \n
- Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM \n
- 48 hours per week \n
- \n
- Active, unrestricted RN license in Indiana or a Compact state \n
- Current BLS, NRP, and S.T.A.B.L.E. certifications required \n
- Minimum education: ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred \n
- Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and apply appropriate safety measures \n
- Previous nursing experience preferred; new grad RNs will be considered \n
- MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration \n
- Copies of all certifications and license verification required for consideration \n

- Provide comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to women's health patients across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Recovery settings \n
- Perform and document thorough patient assessments, incorporating cultural, age, and developmental considerations \n
- Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges while facilitating patient and family education \n
- Delegate tasks appropriately and oversee team members in the execution of the plan of care \n
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, and documentation audits \n
- Experience in L&D, Postpartum, and/or NICU is a plus \n
- BSN is preferred but not required \n
