\nWe're looking for a Tractor/Trailer Technician to join our growing maintenance team in Amherst , Wisconsin. In this role, you'll help keep our fleet operating safely and efficiently by performing inspections, diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and repairs on heavy-duty tractors and trailers.

\nWhat You'll Do
\nAs a Tractor/Trailer Technician, you will:
\n- \n
- Perform preventative maintenance on tractors and trailers \n
- Inspect fleet equipment and identify mechanical issues \n
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and engine-related problems \n
- Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship \n
- Troubleshoot recurring issues and communicate findings with the maintenance team \n
- Enter work orders and maintenance documentation into the computer system \n
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment \n
- Participate in team meetings and support additional maintenance projects as needed \n
What We're Looking For
\nRequired Qualifications
\n- \n
- Valid driver's license \n
- Experience repairing heavy-duty diesel tractors and trailers \n
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues \n
- Comfortable using computers to enter work orders and maintenance records \n
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude \n
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. \n
- Ability to work in various physical positions including standing, walking, bending, twisting, crawling, climbing, kneeling, and working in confined spaces \n
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools \n
Preferred Qualifications
\n- \n
- Certificate from a technical school or diesel technology program \n
- Previous heavy truck or trailer maintenance experience \n
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will also be considered \n
Schedule
\nAvailable shifts may include:
\n- \n
- 4 x 10-hour First Shift \n
- 4 x 10-hour Second Shift \n
Shift assignments are based on business needs and availability at the time of offer.
