Level II Behavioral Therapist

Description:

Breakthrough Therapy Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Level 2 Behavioral Therapist / Mental Health Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide one-on-one therapeutic services to children with Autism and related developmental disorders. This role requires a passion for mental health, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs.

Requirements:

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct 1:1 behavioral and mental health support to young clients
• Implement treatment plans under clinical supervision
• Conduct regular progress monitoring and documentation
• Communicate professionally and sensitively with clients and their families
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards
• Participate in ongoing training, team meetings, and supervision
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to optimize care

Qualifications

• Non-bachelor's degree applicants must provide proof of enrollment in a bachelor’s or associate’s degree program in mental health-related fields or other relevant training
• OR be 18 years or older and have completed the Level III EIDBI training requirements
• OR be
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Passion for supporting children with Autism and developmental needs

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in a mental health-related field with 2,000+ supervised hours
• Experience or training in ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis)
• Experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds
• Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply (Oromo, Somali, Spanish, Hmong, Arabic)

Pre-Employment Requirements

The following training and certifications are required and must be completed before your first day of work. These requirements may be completed after this offer is extended and during onboarding, but must be completed before you begin work. These requirements are classified as pre-employment and are not paid.

• Mandated Reporter Training
• Vulnerable Adult Mandated Reporter Training
• TrainLink courses, including: EIDBI 101 for Providers, Cultural Responsiveness in ASD, and Coordinating Services in ASD
• ASD 40 Hour Training

All required links and instructions will be provided during onboarding if you do not already have them. Failure to complete all required pre-employment steps prior to the start of work may result in a delay of your start date or withdrawal of this offer.
