Job Description
Registered Behavior Technician
Join our dedicated team at Alay Home Care in Cherry Hill Township, NJ, where we are passionate about empowering children and families with developmental disabilities. As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you will play a crucial role in implementing behavior support strategies under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Responsibilities:
• Implement behavior intervention strategies designed by the supervising BCBA
• Support reduction of interfering behaviors such as self-injury, aggression, and repetitive behaviors
• Provide compassionate, clear communication with families to help them understand treatment goals and recommendations
• Monitor client progress and report observations to the supervising BCBA for plan updates
• Participate in ongoing training and supervision sessions required by the BCBA
• Assist in data collection, accurate documentation, and carrying out behavior modification plans
Requirements / Qualifications:
• Possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, special education, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is preferred
• 1 year of experience with individuals with developmental disabilities
• Valid CPR/First Aid certification
• Ability to work under BCBA supervision and follow established intervention plans
• Background in working with children, especially those with autism or other developmental disabilities
• Familiarity with medical terminology and experience with medical or clinical documentation is an advantage
• Solid foundation in behavior management strategies and special education methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with clients, families, and colleagues
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth in behavioral health and developmental support
Training & Pre-Screening:

• College of Direct Support – Online Courses for DDD Certifications
Preferred:
• Vehicle for community transport
• 2 years behavioral experience
