Youth Development Professional Bristol, Virginia (Year Round)

The Youth Development Professional will oversee the daily activities of members in the program area, promoting a healthy and safe environment that aligns with the club's goals and objectives.

Encourage active participation in program area activities and foster a sense of community among members.

Empower members to seek guidance and support from staff when facing challenges.

Provide caring supervision, respect, and recognition to children, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

Collaborate with Site Coordinators to design and implement engaging program services and activities that promote teamwork and friendship among members.

Develop and implement new programs with the approval of the Program Director, making recommendations to enhance program offerings.

Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive environment by ensuring quality programs and a well-maintained Club appearance at all times.

Guide and mentor members, serving as a positive role model.

Assist in inventory management of program equipment and supplies, ensuring their proper maintenance and upkeep.

Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Program Area after usage, ensuring all related supplies and equipment are in good order.

Opportunities may arise to participate in special programs and/or events.

Qualifications

High School Diploma

Demonstrated ability in relationship building and working with young people and parents.

Ability to deal effectively with members, including disciplinary issues.

Demonstrate creative, organizational, and project management abilities.

Must be at least 18 years old

Background checks

Must be available Monday- Friday 2:00-6:30 p.m.

Random drug screening

Location:Bristol, Virginia

While not a requirement, experience working with children can be beneficial in this role.
