As a Behavior Technician with our organization, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with special needs while receiving comprehensive training and support.

POPS BT Position Overview: We are seeking compassionate and motivated individuals to join our team as Behavior Technicians. In this role, you will work directly with clients under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized behavior intervention plans and teach essential life skills in various settings, including homes, schools, and community settings. Behavior Technicians play a crucial role in delivering evidence-based interventions, collecting data, and supporting clients in achieving their goals.

Responsibilities:

●       Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) developed by the BCBA to address clients' specific needs and goals.

●       Provide one-on-one direct instruction to clients using applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques, including discrete trial training (DTT), naturalistic teaching strategies, and behavior management techniques.

●       Collect data on client progress and behavior using designated data collection tools and methods.

●       Assist clients in acquiring and practicing functional skills across various domains, including communication, socialization, self-care, and independent living.

●       Foster a supportive and positive learning environment for clients, promoting engagement, motivation, and independence.

●       Collaborate with the BCBA and interdisciplinary team members to review client progress, adjust intervention strategies as needed, and ensure consistency across settings.

●       Communicate effectively with clients, families, caregivers, and other team members, providing updates on progress and sharing relevant information.

●       Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of applied behavior analysis.

Qualifications:

●       Ability to follow instructions, implement behavior intervention plans with fidelity, and collect accurate data.

●       Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to clients' homes, schools, or community settings as needed.

●       Commitment to upholding ethical standards, maintaining client confidentiality, and promoting a positive and inclusive environment.

●       Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to supporting individuals with special needs in reaching their full potential.

Equal Opportunity Employer: We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace and welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds.
