Sunny View is looking to add a part time Activities Assistant to our team. Activities Assistants in a long-term care facility is responsible for implementing recreational and therapeutic programs that enhance the physical, mental, and social well-being of residents. 

Typical Job Responsibilities

  • Activity Facilitation: Lead daily group and individual activities, including arts and crafts, music, games (e.g., bingo), exercise classes, and outdoor excursions.
  • Resident Engagement: Encourage participation in events, especially for residents with cognitive impairments like dementia.
  • Logistics & Support: Transport residents to and from activity areas, set up and clean up activity spaces, and distribute monthly activity calendars.
  • Documentation: Record resident participation levels, moods, and behaviors to evaluate progress and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Planning: Assist the Activities Director in developing monthly event calendars and individual care plans. 

Standard Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED.
