Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Right at Home Cleveland West is hiring compassionate Direct Support Professionals to provide personalized, in-home support that helps clients live safely and comfortably at home. The ideal candidate is dependable, patient, and a strong communicator with a genuine desire to help others.

What You’ll Do (Core Responsibilities)

• Personal care assistance: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting

• Meal preparation based on dietary preferences/restrictions

• Mobility & transfer support: assist with walking, transfers, and prescribed exercises

• Companionship & engagement to support emotional well-being

• Light housekeeping: laundry, vacuuming, keeping a tidy environment

• Transportation & errands: accompany clients to appointments, shopping, etc.

• Observe and report changes in condition to the care team/family as appropriate

• Documentation of services provided and observations

• Team communication to ensure coordinated care

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Caregiving experience preferred (not required)

• Compassionate, patient, dependable, and professional

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Able to follow care plans and adapt to changing client needs

• Reliable transportation + valid driver’s license

• Must pass a background check and drug screening
