Job Summary:
General Placement Service is hiring a Senior Casualty Underwriter to join a respected insurance organization. This role is ideal for an experienced, strategic thinker who enjoys working in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Underwrite and manage large deductible, multi-line accounts
• Grow a profitable book of business and maintain a strong pipeline
• Analyze risk, pricing, and coverage to develop proposals
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients
• Work with internal teams to ensure smooth execution
• Support strategy, innovation, and negotiation efforts
• Requirements:
• 5+ years underwriting large deductible or national accounts
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• CPCU designation
• Onsite 3 days/week in Chicago

Preferred Skills:

• Proven success in production underwriting
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
• Experience mentoring and managing client relationships
