Immediately hiring a Production Trainer for a company on the northeast side of San Antonio. This person will train a team of Production Assemblers.

Pay is $18/hr.

Shift is Mon-Fri 6am-4:30pm & Sat 6am-11am.

Duties:

Facilitate new hire training for new and current Production Assemblers through all phases of the manufacturing process.
Coordinate OJT training with supervisors and HR, facilitate training schedules based on production needs.
Work with HR and Manufacturing leadership to keep detailed records of training performed.
Consistently assess production employees’ skills to track improvements and determine additional training needs.
Support Kaizen activities, continuous improvement, and safety culture.
Maintain expert knowledge of Work Instructions and Standardized Work.
Lead team morning stretches and discuss any concerns.
Discuss production issues with their supervisor and assist in identifying training needs in a timely manner.
Assemble various components within established “one piece flow” assembly time standards.
Inspect parts to ensure quality standards are maintained.
Perform simple calculations and maintain documentation of equipment information, including but not limited to production checklists and quality forms.
Develop Job Breakdown sheets as needed to support Work Instructions and Standardized Work.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience with Training Within Industry (TWI) Job Instruction Training (JIT) highly preferred.
Experience with complex products and manual processes preferred.
Previous experience in Lean Manufacturing preferred.
ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) experience preferred.
Familiarity with a variety of learning methods (classroom, Job Instruction Training, OJT, etc.) a plus.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required.
Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience training a production team.
Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Knowledge of manufacturing operational and safety procedures to ensure proper training of new hires.
Must be fluent in English (verbal and written).
