Assistant Director of Nursing

A skilled nursing facility is seeking a dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team. This role offers the opportunity to support the Director of Nursing and provide strong clinical supervision in a compassionate, resident-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in overseeing daily nursing operations.

• Supervise and support nursing staff across all shifts.

• Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.

• Provide direct oversight of medication administration, including narcotic handling and documentation.

• Conduct staff education and mentoring.

• Support survey readiness and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in New York required.

• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred (Charge Nurse, Nursing Supervisor, or ADON).

• Strong knowledge of state regulations and narcotic compliance.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

• Compassionate, team-oriented, and detail-driven.
