Scheduler-Home Health

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized scheduler to join our dynamic home health agency. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating and maintaining patient schedules to ensure timely and efficient delivery of home health services. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, handling schedule changes and proficiency in various scheduling systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage schedules for clinicians such as nurses, PTs and OTs.

• Ensure all visits are scheduled according to the physician's Plan of Care and monitor for missed or late visits.

• Perform insurance verification to ensure coverage and eligibility for services.

• Maintain accurate health information management records, ensuring compliance with regulations.

• Provide outstanding patient service by addressing inquiries and resolving scheduling conflicts promptly.

• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication regarding patient needs and schedules.

• Ensure adherence to HIPAA and agency policies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a scheduler, preferably in a home health setting.

• Experience with EMRs such as Kinnser/Welsky.

• Strong clerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

• Ability to handle last-minute cancellations and staffing emergencies with composure.
