Dietary Manager

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Dietary Director to lead the dietary department within a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily food service operations, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and creating a positive dining experience for residents.

The ideal candidate will have prior healthcare dietary management experience, strong leadership skills, and a passion for providing quality resident care through nutrition and hospitality.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the dietary department

• Manage dietary staff scheduling, training, and performance

• Ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, and infection control standards

• Maintain food inventory, ordering, and budget management

• Collaborate with clinical teams regarding resident dietary needs and special diets

• Ensure meals are prepared and served according to physician orders and regulations

• Participate in state survey preparedness and compliance efforts

• Maintain a clean, organized, and resident-focused dining environment

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Dietary Director or Dietary Manager in a healthcare or long-term care setting preferred

• Knowledge of therapeutic diets, food safety regulations, and sanitation standards

• ServeSafe Certification strongly preferred

• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
