About the Role:
KSTAR INC is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Direct Care Staff member to join our team in Kerrville, TX! This overnight position (11PM to 7AM) is a vital role that makes a real difference in the lives of the individuals we serve. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and supervision to individuals during overnight hours (11PM–7AM)
- Assist residents with daily living activities including personal hygiene, mobility, and comfort
- Monitor and document resident behavior, health status, and any incidents during the shift
- Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies or behavioral situations
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment for all residents
- Communicate effectively with incoming staff during shift transitions and handoffs
- Follow individualized care plans and adhere to all agency policies and procedures
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Previous experience in direct care, residential support, or human services preferred
- Ability to work overnight shifts reliably, including weekends and holidays
- Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills
- Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor when working with vulnerable populations
- Must pass a background check and meet all state licensing requirements
- Must pass drug screening
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
