MEDO is a casual, fine dining Japanese restaurant positioned right in the entry point of Woodstock, NY. We focus on semi traditional Japanese cuisine and various Japanese beverages. We strive to deliver the most authentic “OMOTENASHI”experience. This experience can be described as intimate, anticipatory, selfless, and meticulous.
Our restaurant is led by two partners with different areas of focus and responsibility. David Fletcher, the founder of the restaurant serves as the role of General Manager with a focus on service and dining operations. Frank Maximillian Glausen serves as Executive Chef and leads the culinary program and kitchen standards. Together, the partnership is responsible for shaping the standards, identity, and long-term direction of MEDO.
While each partner brings a different perspective to the business, MEDO operates as one team. That means we expect consistency in professionalism, consistency in communication, and consistency in standards. A guest should feel the same clarity, care, and excellence whether they are speaking to a host, a server, a bartender, a cook, a manager, or a partner.
