About the Role:
Guardian Residential Services LLC is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our residential team in Stafford, VA. This weekend day shift position (10a–10p) is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities while being part of a supportive care team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to residents during weekend day shift hours (10am–10pm)
- Assist individuals with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility
- Implement individualized support plans and document progress accurately
- Administer medications and follow health care protocols as directed
- Facilitate community integration and recreational activities for residents
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive residential environment
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and family members regarding resident needs
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience as a DSP, caregiver, or in a residential care setting preferred
- Ability to work weekend day shifts consistently (Saturday and/or Sunday, 10am–10pm)
- Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and person-centered approach
- Ability to pass a background check and meet state licensing requirements
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Valid driver's license preferred
