Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to become part of our new primary care concierge medical practice in Wayne, PA! Become a trusted member of our team dedicated to excellence in patient care. Build meaningful relationships with a smaller patient panel than traditional practices.  Work closely with our physician in a true collaborative partnership.  Physician fosters a positive work environment and is dedicated to treating staff respectfully, kindly, and courteously.

Candidate's responsibilities:

• Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
• Bring patients to exam rooms.  Measure vital signs (height, weight, blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, pulse ox) and enter vitals into EMR
• Perform EKG on patients as needed
• Phlebotomy / lab draws; label and store blood & urine samples for Quest/ Labcorp pickup
• Perform rapid strep testing, rapid flu testing, rapid covid testing 
• Administer vaccines and log these vaccines in our EMR
• Stock exam rooms and help in reordering supplies 
• Volume of patients each day is only 5-10 patients each day so medical assistants would be available to help front office with tasks including scheduling patient appointments, answering phone calls, communicating with insurance companies regarding insurance authorizations, faxing records to specialists, requesting records, scheduling STAT studies

Candidate's ​Qualifications:

• ​​​​​PA Health Care Assistant certificate.
• 3(+) years of Medical Assistant experience in a clinical care setting (primary care experience is ideal but clinical experience in specialist practices is accepted as well).
• Trained and licensed in phlebotomy and in-house laboratory testing.
• Candidate should be dependable, punctual, courteous to other staff and patients.
• Experience using electronic medical records (EMR).
