Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Youth Enrichment Project (YEP)

Pay Range: $18–$20/hour based on experience, education, and availability

About the Role
● Provide meaningful support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
● Help individuals build independence, confidence, communication skills, and life skills
● Create positive experiences through mentorship, encouragement, and advocacy
● Work in an environment where leadership genuinely supports staff success
What You’ll Do
● Support individuals in home and community settings
● Assist with cooking, cleaning, hygiene support, organization, and medication reminders
● Encourage participation in social and community activities
● Support personal goal achievement and independence-building
● Build positive relationships with families and team members
● Complete case notes and clock in/out using AxisCare
● Maintain accurate documentation
● Promote a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment
Requirements
● High school diploma or equivalent preferred
● Experience in caregiving or direct support is a plus
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team
● Must be willing and comfortable transporting individuals in your personal vehicle
● Mileage reimbursement provided when using your vehicle for approved transportation
● Must complete required background clearances
● Valid driver’s license required
● Current registration, inspection, and auto insurance required
● Willingness to learn and grow within the role
Training & Orientation
We offer flexible orientation options, including self-directed training and/or paid in-person
orientation sessions.
ODP trainings may be completed during orientation or independently. Previous DSP or ODP
trainings from other agencies are welcomed when applicable.
