Job Title:

In-Home Service Direct Support Professional Specialist

Location:
Various areas across the Minneapolis/St. Paul Twin Cities area.
(Valid Driver’s License and a reliable vehicle required for work-related travel.)

Schedule:
Monday–Friday, with availability between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM depending on program needs.
Occasional weekend hours may be required based on individual schedules.

Wage:
$20.00/hour (includes full-time benefits and paid training)

Job Summary:

Skyline Home Healthcare’s In-Home Services Department provides individualized supports to people with intellectual disabilities, autism, and/or mental health diagnoses in their homes and communities.

Support focuses on helping individuals build independent living skills, including grocery shopping, managing mail, cooking, housekeeping, and achieving personal goals.

You will work one-on-one with individuals, providing direct care and guidance in their homes and communities. Shifts typically last 2–6 hours, and you may support 1–3 individuals per day. Scheduling is flexible and built around your availability and preferred work areas.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Assist with daily living and household tasks such as cleaning, organizing, and cooking.

  • Support individuals in developing life skills such as budgeting, grocery shopping, and community participation.

  • Encourage and guide individuals toward achieving personal goals and greater independence.

  • Actively engage in community outings, fitness activities, and social events.

  • Provide supervision and transportation to appointments or community activities using your personal vehicle.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years or older (per state licensing requirements)

  • Proficient in spoken and written English

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle with current car insurance

  • Acceptable driving record per company policy

  • Clear Department of Human Services (DHS) background check

  • Comfortable performing all essential job duties listed above

Preferred (Not Required):

  • Experience supporting individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, and/or mental health diagnoses

  • Experience working in home or community-based settings
