Job Details- Position: Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical (Med Surg)
- Location: Arcata
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Shift: Night Shift
- Schedule: 3x12
- Experience Required: 2 Years
- Weekly Pay: $2400 to $2590
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical and post-surgical conditions
- Perform detailed patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and prescribed treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor patient conditions and promptly identify and report changes in clinical status
- Manage wound care, pain management, post-operative recovery, and patient education
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and quality care standards
- Respond effectively to emergency situations while providing compassionate, patient-centered care
- Active California RN License
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Current BLS Certification required
- ACLS Certification preferred
- Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and critical thinking skills
- Experience caring for medical, surgical, and post-operative patients
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to prioritize care and manage multiple patients in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
- Commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centered care
