Job Description

 Wound Care Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment. The nurse will provide comprehensive wound and ostomy care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment plans for patients with ostomies, draining wounds, fistulas, pressure injuries, and acute or chronic wounds. Responsibilities include recommending appropriate wound care supplies and equipment, educating patients and families on wound and ostomy management, collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team, documenting care accurately, and promoting optimal patient outcomes. This position follows a Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM schedule with no weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities.

Requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of recent Wound Care nursing experience
• Current Wound Care Certification (mandatory)
• Active state RN license
• BLS Certification (AHA) required
• ACLS Certification preferred
• Experience assessing and treating:
  • Ostomies
  • Draining wounds
  • Fistulas
  • Pressure injuries/pressure ulcers
  • Acute and chronic wounds
• Experience providing patient and family education on wound and ostomy care
• Knowledge of wound care products, supplies, and equipment selection
• Experience documenting care in an electronic medical record (EMR)
• Strong assessment, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
• Ability to work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• No weekend, holiday, or on-call availability required
