Job Details- Position: Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Location: Arcata
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Shift: Night Shift
- Schedule: 3x12
- Experience Required: 2 Years
- Weekly Pay: $2500 to $2700
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients with complex medical and surgical conditions
- Perform detailed patient assessments and continuously monitor changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and critical care treatments as prescribed
- Operate and monitor advanced life-support equipment, including ventilators, cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, and hemodynamic monitoring devices
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Respond rapidly to medical emergencies, code situations, and life-saving interventions
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, procedures, and recovery expectations
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and critical care standards
- Advocate for patients while providing compassionate, patient-centered care throughout their ICU stay
- Active California RN License
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
- Current BLS Certification required
- Current ACLS Certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification preferred
- Experience with ventilator management, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and hemodynamic monitoring
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
- Commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centered critical care
