Location: Grass Valley, California

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 12-hour shifts starting at 6:45 PM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $77 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to medical ICU patients with conditions like respiratory failure, sepsis, DKA, and GI bleeds
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage ventilators, and respond to changing patient status
• Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, and a supportive team in a 10-bed unit
• Utilize Cerner EMR and tele-med robots for efficient patient care
• Participate in bedside reporting and ensure smooth shift transitions
• Float to stepdown and swing beds as needed, maintaining safe nurse-to-patient ratios

Qualifications

• Active California RN license or compact license
• At least 2 years of recent ICU experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Ability to pass a basic dysrhythmia exam (Relias) prior to start
• Comfortable with telemetry, ventilator management, and EKG interpretation
• Willingness to work every other weekend and rotate holidays
