About the Position

AlliedTravelCareers is working with United Health Care Staffing to find a qualified Cath Lab Tech in Buffalo, New York, 14201!

Job Responsibilities

• Procedural Scrubbing & Circulating: Scrub in and directly assist interventional cardiologists during high-acuity diagnostic, interventional, and peripheral vascular procedures (including coronary angiograms, PCI, pacemakers, and ICD placements).

• Hemodynamic Waveform Monitoring: Operate complex physiological recording systems; precisely track, record, and interpret real-time hemodynamic waveforms, intracardiac pressures, and continuous ECG changes to identify active arrhythmias or patient distress.

• Imaging System Operation: Safely position and operate single-plane or biplane fluoroscopic imaging equipment, manage automated contrast injectors, and strictly practice radiation safety standards (ALARA principles) within the suite.

• Emergency On-Call Rotation: Actively participate in the department's emergency on-call pool (covering weeknights and weekends) to provide rapid-response coverage for acute ST-elevation myocardial infarctions (STEMI).

Job Requirements

• Certifications: Active national credential as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) through CCI or a Registered Radiologic Technologist with a dedicated cardiac focus (ARRT-R or ARRT-CI).

• State Licensure: Active Radiologic Technologist license issued by the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) is strictly required for candidates operating imaging equipment via the ARRT pathway.

• Experience: Minimum 1 to 2 years of recent, independent scrubbing and monitoring experience in a high-volume, acute care hospital Cath Lab.

• Life Support: Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
