Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (biology, chemistry, health sciences).Master’s degree from a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists’ Assistant program (usually 2 years, includes clinical rotations).Certification: After completing a master’s program, you must pass the ASCP Board of Certification (BOC) exam to – Pathologists’ Assistant certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology.Licensing (if required): Not all states require licensure, but some do. Requirements vary by state, so it’s good to check with the state board of health or professional regulation.
