Prep Cook - Corporate Events
We are looking for a hard-working prep cook to be responsible for setting up workstations in the kitchen and preparing ingredients for the cooking process. The prep cook is required to perform basic cooking duties, monitor stock levels, and take on culinary tasks as they arise.

Schedule:
The schedule is weekly (Monday - Friday) until August 14th, and goes as followed:
- Monday:7am - 11am
- Tuesday:7am - 3pm
- Wednesday:7am - 3pm
- Thursday:7am - 3pm
- Friday:7am - 11am
After August 14th, the schedule goes to 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) for only one week of the month. The times on all 3 days are 7am - 3pm and the dates for the rest of the year are as followed:
- September 15, 16, 17
- October 13, 14, 15
- November 17, 18, 19
- December 8, 9, 10
Pay:$16.00 per hour (weekly pay)
Responsibilities:
- Setting up and sanitizing workstations.
- Following prep lists created by chefs.
- Measuring ingredients and seasonings, and preparing cooking ingredients such as soup stock to be used in the cooking process.
- Preparing simple dishes, such as entrees or salads.
- Ensuring all food items are properly stored and easily accessible.
- Assisting chefs in preparing food and attending to any culinary tasks that arise.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Culinary school training, preferred.
- Prior experience as a prep cook, caterer, or in food service is preferred .
- Manual dexterity to operate cooking tools such as knives.
Physical Demands:
- The ability to stand, walk, sit for long periods of time
- Use of hands to handle or feel and the ability to reach with hands and arm
- The ability to stoop, kneel, or crouch
- The ability to squat, bend, twist, and reach for items below waist level or above shoulders
- The ability to lift, push/pull, carry and/or move up to 50 pounds
- The ability to speak loudly and clearly - This role is subject to loud noise for extended periods of time depending on the time and day of the week
