Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An Interim Director of Pharmacy position is available to provide leadership and management oversight at a hospital pharmacy setting in Great Falls, MT. This contract role requires taking on the Pharmacist-in-Charge responsibilities, ensuring smooth operations, and advancing ongoing pharmacy projects.
Location:
- Great Falls, Montana
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- No weekend or on-call coverage required
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a small pharmacy team of 2-3 pharmacists daily
- Provide professional and stable leadership to the pharmacy department
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations and manage staff effectively
- Continue development and completion of critical projects such as clean room renovation, implementation of Medi-Tech IT systems, and financial analysis for the infusion center
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain quality pharmacy services
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Montana pharmacist license is a mandatory requirement
- Proven experience in hospital pharmacy management
- Familiarity with outpatient clinics and surgical hospital pharmacy operations is preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to stabilize and guide a smaller pharmacy staff
- Experience with pharmacy automation systems, specifically Touchpoint, is highly desirable
- Capable of handling financial and IT project oversight related to pharmacy services
Contract Details:
- Coverage needed as soon as possible until the permanent position is filled (likely 3+ months)
