Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity seeks a skilled Clinical Pharmacist with a focus on home infusion services. Your expertise in sterile compounding and IV order verification will contribute directly to patient care excellence in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active and clear Wisconsin pharmacist license
- Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in sterile compounding with a strong emphasis on IV preparation
- Recent home infusion pharmacy experience preferred (2+ years)
- CPR certification is preferred but not mandatory
Location:
- Milwaukee, WI
Schedule and Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts scheduled between 7:30 AM and 6:00 PM
- On-call duties every 4th weekend and one night per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify IV medication orders ensuring accuracy and safety
- Prepare and mix IV solutions in a clean room setting as required
- Perform other clinical pharmacy duties related to home infusion care
- Apply your clinical knowledge to optimize patient medication therapy in a home setting
Additional Details:This is a contract-to-hire position, offering initial contract work with the potential for permanent placement. Your clinical skills will impact a growing service area focused on patients receiving infusion treatments at home.
