Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Hospice RN for a home health position in Clarksburg, WV, requiring at least 1 year of hospice experience and an active WV or compact RN license.

• Home health/hospice care setting serving patients in their homes and nursing facilities across 7 counties (Harrison, Barbour, Upshur, Lewis, Taylor, Doddridge, and Wetzel) out of the Clarksburg, WV location
\n
• Patient population includes terminally ill individuals with end-stage diagnoses such as cancer, heart disease, lung disease, and dementia
\n
• Caseload of approximately 5–6 patient visits per 8-hour shift, shared between 2 RNs
\n
• Schedule is Monday–Friday, day shift (8:00 AM–4:30 PM), 8-hour shifts
\n
• No weekend or holiday requirements
\n
• Charting is performed in Epic
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active WV RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
\n
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
\n
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
\n
• Minimum 1 year of hospice experience required
\n
• Valid driver's license required
\n
• Epic EMR experience preferred
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• Provides in-home and facility-based hospice nursing care to patients with end-stage illnesses across a 7-county service area
\n
• Orientation includes Epic training and shadowing with another RN
\n
• Royal blue scrubs required
\n
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for a travel assignment
\n
• Travelers who have previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a minimum 2-year break before reapplying
\n
• Travelers may not work within the WVU Medicine system for more than a cumulative year without a 2-year break
\n
• A current skills checklist (completed within the past year), copies of certifications, and a valid driver's license are required for consideration
\n
• Two references are required for consideration: one supervisor reference and one peer or additional supervisor reference
\n
• Work history covering the past 7 years (or from graduation, whichever is less) with no gaps greater than 30 days is required for consideration
\n
