Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Inpatient Surgical Med/Surg unit in Albany, GA, requiring at least 1 year of experience and prior travel nursing experience.

• Acute care hospital setting with a 483-bed main campus in Albany, GA
\n
• Inpatient Surgical Med/Surg unit with floating to Ortho/Neuro, Oncology, Acute Care, and other floors
\n
• Patient ratio of 1:6 with CNA support
\n
• Telemetry monitoring available, monitored on different units
\n
• Ventilator equipment on unit includes BiPAP, CPAP, Vapotherm, and Draeger (used at HS only)
\n
• PICC line access available; no dedicated IV team
\n
• Respiratory therapy and pharmacy support available 24/7
\n
• Charting via MEDITECH
\n
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts (6:45 AM start, 7a–7p)
\n
• Every other weekend required
\n
• Floating required to other units
\n
• On-call low census requirement
\n
• 26-week contract
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active RN license — GA or Compact license required
\n
• Current BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required
\n
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
\n
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
\n
• BSN not required
\n
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for placement
\n
• Driver's license required for consideration
\n
• Must not have been employed by the facility within the last 12 months
\n

• Provide medical/surgical nursing care with flexibility for changing assignments during the shift

• Unit uses a charge nurse model across all units

• Floor-specific orientation provided (16 orientation hours)
