About the Position
AlliedTravelCareers is working with Towne U.S. LLC to find a qualified Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) in Cleburne, Texas, 76033!
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team for a maternity leave coverage assignment beginning in October. Working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA will provide high-quality occupational therapy services designed to help patients improve functional abilities, regain independence, and enhance their overall quality of life.

Responsibilities
- Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Provide therapeutic activities and interventions to improve activities of daily living (ADLs), fine motor skills, upper extremity function, coordination, balance, strength, and overall functional performance
- Assist patients in developing the skills needed to safely perform daily tasks and maximize independence
- Monitor patient progress during treatment sessions and communicate changes or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques, assistive equipment, home exercise programs, and safety strategies to support continued progress outside of therapy sessions
- Accurately document treatment sessions, patient progress, and outcomes in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
- Prepare treatment areas, maintain therapy equipment, and ensure a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment
- Participate in discharge planning by providing feedback on patient progress and recommendations for continued therapy when appropriate
- Deliver compassionate, respectful, and individualized care while promoting positive rehabilitation outcomes
Requirements
- Required: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Required: Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of practice or ability to obtain
- Preferred: Previous clinical experience in an occupational therapy setting
- Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
