Requirements for Position: Graduate of approved Radiologic Technologist Program and prefer graduate of approved Post Primary Radiologic Program. RDMS required, RVT, RDCS is preferred. License and Certifications are: License from IEMA, CPR. Requires registration with ARRT with RT credentials. Prefer a minimum of one year experience.

Special Demands: High degree of physical and verbal contact with patients. Must be able to educate patients or family members clearly and all ages and social backgrounds. Must have a high level of communication skills with patients, physicians, fellow employees and staff, both face to face and on the phone or zoom. Must be able to adapt standard radiographic procedures to fit circumstances.

Performance Requirements: Responsible for carrying out physician's orders, operate equipment safely and ensure in safe operating order. Responsible for EMR system for scheduling, routines, and other areas needed. Must be able to train and supervisor other employees in using equipment properly, follow policies and procedures in the department.

Physical Demands: Extensive reaching, twisting, bending, standing and walking; carrying, pushing pulling and lifting up to 50lbs without assistance - all over 67% of the day. Clerical work and siting up to 33% of the day. Must be able to perform CPR 100% of the time but rarely required.

Primary duties include but are not limited to:
-Operates radiologic equipment to obtain images used by physicians in diagnosis and treatment of pathologies. Selects appropriate imaging techniques, operates console and peripheral hardware, and enters and monitors patient data.
-Delivers quality exams on consistent basis.
-Has working knowledge of the established radiographic procedures.
-Utilizes EMR/PACS system for radiology routines, scheduling and billing. Accurately schedules patients for specific exams.
-Implements the policies and procedures of Memorial Hospital and department with annual review.
-Complies with all Service Excellence, Quality and customer satisfaction initiatives.
