Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Direct Counsel is seeking a Mid-Level Structured Finance Associate to join the Finance practice of a leading Am Law firm in its Charlotte office. This role is ideal for an attorney with strong experience in structured finance transactions who is interested in working on sophisticated financing structures and complex asset-backed transactions.
The position offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of structured finance matters, including securitizations and lending structures involving diverse asset classes.
ResponsibilitiesAdvise clients on structured finance transactions, including securitizations and asset-backed financing arrangements
Assist in structuring, negotiating, and documenting complex financing transactions
Draft and review transaction documents, including purchase agreements, servicing agreements, offering materials, and related financing documentation
Conduct legal due diligence and transactional analysis related to structured finance deals
Collaborate with clients, financial institutions, and internal deal teams to facilitate successful transaction execution
Work across a variety of asset classes and financing structures
Support senior attorneys in managing transactions from initial structuring through closing
Minimum 4 years of structured finance experience
Experience with structured finance, securitization, lending, or similar finance transactions at a law firm
Strong deal experience and familiarity with complex financing structures
Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced transactional environment
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
Active admission to the North Carolina State Bar
This position offers a competitive compensation package with a salary range of approximately $310,000–$435,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
