About This Role

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Assistant Childcare Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in creating a secure, supportive, and stimulating environment for children. The ideal candidate will help with classroom activities, supervision, and daily care routines while fostering a positive and engaging atmosphere. Pay is based on experience.



What You'll Do

Classroom Support & Child Engagement:
  • Support the Lead Teacher in planning and executing activities that promote learning and development.
  • Interact with children through play, stories, songs, and hands-on activities to encourage their growth.
  • Help children develop social skills and self-regulation skills by promoting positive relationships and emotional well-being.
Child Supervision & Care:
  • Ensure the children's safety and well-being at all times by maintaining a secure and healthy environment.
  • Assist with daily routines such as mealtime, hygiene, and rest.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the classroom and play areas.
Teamwork & Communication:
  • Collaborate with the Lead Teacher and other staff members to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about daily activities and child progress.
  • Follow all center policies, licensing regulations, and safety procedures.
Professional Development & Growth:
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices.
  • Be open to learning and implementing new strategies in early childhood education.
  • Support the Lead Teacher in preparing materials and setting up activities.


Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certifications: CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills are required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, families, and children is essential.
  • Additional requirements will be discussed prior to the first day of working with children.


Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with children is highly valued.
  • CPR certification is a plus.
  • The Wisconsin Registry Certificate is a desirable asset.
