Job Description

About This Role

We're looking for a dedicated and caring individual to join our small-town daycare family as a caregiver for children ages 0-7. Our locally-owned center provides a safe, home-like environment where children can thrive. We value a team-oriented approach and treat every child as if they were our own. If you have a passion for nurturing young minds and creating unforgettable childhood experiences, we'd love to hear from you!

What You'll Do

As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming space for our children. Your daily responsibilities will include leading and assisting with various activities, such as:

  • Small groups, mealtimes, circle time, outdoor exploration, and playtime.
  • Age-appropriate lessons following the Missouri Early Learning Standards and our Learning Beyond Paper Curriculum.
  • Social and emotional skill development with gentle guidance and care.
  • Communicating with parents in a friendly, respectful, and professional manner.
  • Keeping up with daily notes, child observations, and records in a timely, organized manner.
  • Implementing quality sanitation procedures to ensure the health and safety of all staff and children.

Requirements

While experience in early childhood is beneficial, we're willing to train the right person!

  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
  • High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
  • A strong understanding of child development.
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification - Can be completed after hire date.
  • Must clear a full background check and must pass a health screening, including TB test.
  • Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat, or crawl.

Benefits

    1. Be Someone's Favorite Person - To a child, you'll never just be a "daycare teacher" - you'll be their safe space, cheerleader, and hero!
    2. Flexible Hours & Local Work - Enjoy a job that fits your schedule and keeps you close to home - no long commutes or late nights!
    3. Training & Support - Looking to enter the field of Early Childhood? This is a great place to start! We offer paid training opportunities, work around college schedules, and offer on-the-job guidance.
    4. Build Toward a Career in Early Childhood - Great for those exploring teaching, social work, or child psychology. Start here, grow anywhere!
    5. Paid Time Off - For every 20 hours worked, you receive 1 hour paid time off!
    6. Free Meals - You are encouraged to eat with the children and partake in CACFP-credited nutritional meals.
    7. Tuition Assistance - Have children of your own? We can secure you a spot at the facility and offer 50% off child tuition!
    8. No Weekends - Work Monday through Friday! Weekends off!
