What You'll Do

  • Support the lead teachers in creating and implementing lesson plans that cater to the unique needs of each child, ensuring a stimulating and inclusive environment.
  • Engage children in activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development, fostering a love for learning.
  • Implement effective behavior management strategies to maintain a positive classroom environment.
  • Provide individualized support to children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities, and ensure they receive necessary accommodations.
  • Communicate with children who are deaf or hard of hearing using American Sign Language (ASL) or other suitable methods.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence.
  • Collaborate with teachers and specialists to develop tailored lesson plans that align with the child's developmental milestones.
  • Support early childhood education practices aligned with specialized curricula, such as Montessori.
  • Document observations and communicate effectively with parents and team members regarding children's progress and developmental milestones.
