About This Role

The classroom leader and educational expert, responsible for driving the development of our teaching team and the delivery of our curriculum, while fostering a safe and stimulating learning environment that encourages the growth and success of every child.

What You'll Do

  • Develop age-appropriate activities and educational plans that align with early learning standards and best practices for child development.
  • Support and guide the teaching team to ensure success through mentoring and coaching.
  • Engage children through group and individual activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
  • Maintain open communication with parents through regular updates and conferences.
  • Ensure compliance with center policies and state regulations.
  • Cultivate a healthy classroom environment by maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards.
  • Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers to guarantee adherence to lesson plans and policies.
  • Manage accurate records, forms, and files.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practices and promote quality improvement.


Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in early childhood education or related field of study with a minimum of 30 Credits in ECE.
  • Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
  • A strong understanding of child development.
  • High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional child care experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
  • Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A specific vision ability will be required including the ability to see up close and up to a certain distance, to see colors, have peripheral vision and depth perception.
