About This Role
IC3 is currently hiring a full-time teacher assistant to support the care of children from 8 weeks to 10 years old. This position offers a diverse range of opportunities to work with infants, toddlers, pre-K, and school-age children in Kindergarten to 5th grade. The ideal candidate will be placed in a variety of classrooms and work in a team environment, communicating effectively with teachers and parents. The Teacher Assistant will support Teachers in creating a caring and safe environment, engaging with children, and supervising groups of children, all while following OCFS regulations and NAEYC standards. This role is scheduled Monday to Friday, 37-40 hours per week, and requires strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
What You'll Do
- Support Teachers in creating a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
- Collaborate with Teachers to implement age-appropriate classroom and learning environments that meet the needs of all children.
- Respond to the needs of children and parents in a productive and supportive manner.
- Utilize team-oriented problem-solving skills to address challenges and ensure a positive learning environment.
- Adhere to OCFS regulations and NAEYC standards, maintaining a high level of quality care and education.
- Develop and maintain a reputation for being responsible, reliable, and dependable in your work.
- Demonstrate a clear and direct communication style, both written and verbal.
Requirements
- Must pass a full background check.
- Must clear a health screening.
