Cub Care Children's Center has been providing excellent early childhood education programs since 1998 and is a Quality Stars NY participating center with a four-star rating. What You'll Do
As an Assistant Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting the Lead Teacher and implementing the weekly lesson plans to help children achieve their learning goals.
- Build on your experience working with children, demonstrate creativity, flexibility, and good communication skills with children and adults.
- Work cooperatively with the Lead Teacher and assist in coordinating activities with other staff members.
- Assist in the preparation and organization of learning materials for the classroom.
- Communicate consistently and effectively with families and refer them to the Lead Teacher for details regarding their child's classroom experiences.
- Participate in regular staff meetings by bringing questions, concerns, and ideas to the group for discussions.
- Complete a minimum of 15 hours of training/coaching annually in the required content areas as specified by the Office of Children and Family Services.
Requirements
Preferred: Associates Degree or CDA (Child Development Associate) Certificate
Min Requirement: High School Diploma and experience working with children ages 2-5
- Part- time 30 Hrs/week 11:15am - 4:45pm or 5:45 pm

- 3 References Required
- Fingerprinting Required
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working with children ages 2-5 is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid Certification is preferred but not required.
