What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities

  • Classroom Support: Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and maintaining classroom routines, ensuring a smooth and productive learning environment.
  • Child Supervision: Provide active supervision to ensure the safety and well-being of all children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, and rest times, and be prepared for any situation that may arise.
  • Engagement & Play: Get down on the floor and engage children in play-based, sensory-rich learning activities that foster creativity and exploration.
  • Care & Hygiene: Assist with personal care needs, including diapering, toileting, and promoting good hygiene habits like handwashing, to ensure the health and wellbeing of our young students.
  • Environment Maintenance: Help keep the classroom organized, clean, and safe for all students, and be a vital part of maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.


Requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • Requirements:
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.

  • Preferred Skills & Experience:
  • Traits: Patience, creativity, dependability, and strong communication skills, which will enable you to connect with our students and colleagues on a deeper level.
  • A basic understanding of child development and positive behavior support strategies, which will help you support our students in their growth and development.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days), which will give you the confidence and skills to respond to any situation that may arise.
  • Previous experience working with young children (1 year preferred), which will enable you to hit the ground running and make a meaningful contribution to our team.
