Convenience Store Manager

First Stop is a busy, locally-owned convenience store serving our community. We do high volume and pride ourselves on being a reliable, friendly stop for our customers. Because we are an independent store, you won't be dealing with endless corporate red tape. You will work directly with the owner to keep the store running smoothly, efficiently, and profitably.

We are located in Atkinson, NE

The Role: We are seeking an experienced Store Manager who is great with numbers, inventory, and people. You will be taking the reins of the day-to-day operations so the owner can focus on high-level growth. You will manage a dedicated team of about 10 employees (with 2-4 staff on shift at any given time).

If you have retail management experience and are tired of corporate retail drama, this is a fantastic opportunity to manage a successful, high-traffic local store.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operations & Logic: Oversee daily store operations, ensuring the store is clean, stocked, and running efficiently.
• Inventory & Numbers: Manage ordering, vendor relationships, and inventory control. You must be comfortable with the "numbers" side of the business to maximize profitability.
• Team Leadership: Train, schedule, and manage staff. Cultivate a drama-free, positive working environment where employees know their responsibilities.
• Customer Service: Lead by example on the floor, handling customer interactions and ensuring a great experience.

What We Are Looking For:

• Prior management experience in retail, convenience stores, grocery, or fast food.
• Strong understanding of retail logic (inventory tracking, margins, scheduling).
• A reliable, "take-charge" attitude. We need someone who can solve problems independently without waiting for the owner to step in.
• Local to the Atkinson/O'Neill area (or willing to commute daily).
