Chemical Batch Mixer / Compounder
Schedule (3 available):
- Monday–Friday: 3:00 PM–11:00 PM
OR
- Saturday & Sunday: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM, Monday & Tuesday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
OR
- Saturday & Sunday: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM, Thursday & Friday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Pay: $32.75/hour + shift differential, eligible for annual bonus
About the Role
We're hiring an experienced Compounder/Batch Maker to mix and process semi-finished product in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You'll work hands-on with raw materials, blending equipment, and an automated control system to keep our production line running safely and on spec.
What You'll Do
- Transfer semi-finished product from main vessel to tote run tank
- Perform manual raw material additions (dry and liquid) into blenders — this is a physically active role, 80–100% hands-on
- Stage batches using a fork truck
- Follow batch sheet instructions and complete required sign-offs (FDA compliance)
- Pull samples from each batch for Quality Department approval
- Label tanks, totes, and samples accurately
- Manage bulk liquid and dry inventory using the WMS system
- Run multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously (e.g., charging raw material while prepping pre-mixes)
- Complete required OSHA forklift safety inspections
- Follow all safety procedures, SOPs, GMPs, and JSAs; wear required PPE
- Handle corrosive, acidic, toxic, and oxidizing materials, plus high-temperature product, as part of daily work
What You Need
- HS diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Compounder/Batch Maker in a manufacturing environment (FDA environment a plus)
- Forklift certified
- Basic math skills and strong computer/automated systems skills
- Ability to pass a respiratory fit test
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Team-oriented with solid communication skills
