Job Description
Lead Design Verification Planning (DVP) and Product Validation Engineer
Lead Design Verification Planning (DVP) and Product Validation (PV) activities for automotive electrical systems, with a primary focus on high-voltage wiring harnesses. Responsible for validation planning, cross-functional coordination, supplier collaboration, testing, quality support, and execution through vehicle launch in accordance with GPDS and program milestones. This is a Validation Leadership role, not a traditional Design & Release engineering position.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead Design Verification Plans (DVPs) and Product Validation (PV) activities.
· Develop validation strategies, test plans, and prototype requirements.
· Coordinate validation with engineering, suppliers, manufacturing, and testing teams.
· Track validation progress, engineering changes, and program milestones.
· Support vehicle launches, quality improvements, and warranty investigations.
· Lead Technical Design Reviews (TDRs) and maintain validation documentation.
· Support DFMEA, PPAP, APQP, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities.

Must-Have Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
· 5–10 years of automotive engineering experience.
· 5–10 years of wiring harness or automotive electrical systems experience.
· Experience leading Design Verification (DV) and Product Validation (PV).
· Ownership of Design Verification Plans (DVPs).
· Experience creating and managing Design Verification Plans (DVPs).
· GPDS and vehicle launch experience.
· PPAP and automotive product development experience.
· Experience using TeamCenter and/or CATIA.
Experience Preferred:
· High-voltage wiring harnesses.
· Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS).
· Manufacturing or validation engineering.
· Bench, dyno, or vehicle testing.
· Cost estimation.
· Microsoft Office.
Education Required:
· Bachelor's Degree in Engineering o Electrical Engineering preferred o Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering acceptable
Education Preferred:
· Master's Degree in Engineering or related field.
