We are seeking dedicated Order Picker Operators to join a lumber warehouse in Mansfield. The ideal candidates will be responsible for picking orders, banding them using a plastic banding machine, and prepping orders for shipment.
Responsibilities
- Pick orders using a sit-down forklift to complete tasks such as loading, unloading, moving, staging, pulling orders, and transporting materials.
- Band, wrap, and tape products as needed.
- Maintain the condition of the warehouse work area, ensuring it is free of trash, product is in the correct location and organized, and floors are swept.
- Work cooperatively and productively with supervisors and other employees to complete the required workload.
- Provide and inspire outstanding service to customers by maintaining attention to detail, accuracy, and quality while completing assigned work in a timely manner.
- Assist with inventory variances, ensure order accuracy, and address track and trace issues.
- 1-2 years of recent forklift experience (1 year sit-down or 6 months stand-up).
- Experience in loading and unloading using a forklift.
- Experience in moving, staging, pulling orders, and transporting materials.
- Inventory experience and computer literacy.
- Must have or have held a valid forklift certification.
- 1-2 years of experience with moving lumber or large materials, preferably from big-box stores.
- Experience working with materials ranging from small boxes to 20 ft long boards.
This position offers the opportunity for a full-time job after a 6-month trial period, during which you will receive benefits, sick time, vacation, and holiday pay.
Work Environment
The warehouse environment can be dusty and noisy with fluctuations in temperature. Some outdoor exposure is common during the workday. There may be uneven walking surfaces due to temporary cracks in the floor caused by forklifts and other heavy equipment. Wet floors may occur during rainy or snowy weather or after cleaning. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters, and tape dispensers. Work hours are 6 am to finish (approximately 4 pm to 4:30 pm), utilizing both stand-up and sit-down forklifts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mansfield, MA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
