Material Handler

Barberton Mancan is assisting a Large Wadsworth area company in need of employees for their Material Handling department.

Monday-Friday 6a-2p
$19/hr.
This is a 12 week assignment.

Essential Functions
DAILY DUTIES

Ability to be versatile and cross train to work in all departments at any given time.
Must show competence, accuracy and be effective in the following areas as trained: Receiving, Shipping, , Blending and Drying and Off Line Operations such as metal screening, shaker screening, picking and silo loading (everyone in the MPG dept will be required to cross train and be able to multi task.)
Off load, inspect, work with machinery and ship/load materials that conform to customer requirements
Ensure good house keeping skills and safe operations at all times
Ensure work is accurate and documented properly
Report nonconforming product and label correctly for the computer system
Keep downtime to lines and late shipments to a min
Understand instructions and perform per procedure
Ensure schedule and daily priorities issues are followed
Ensure sampling is precise and logged in lab
Ensure a low receiving backlog, 100% on-time shipments, no self deliveries to lines and keep up with the production schedule
Prevent production contamination
Ensure proper material handling and storage
Ensure material movements are kept to a min and FIFO policy is followed.
Ensure all material movements and tasks involving serialized inventory are updated on time through using IQMS inventory and the IQRF barcode system
Ensure the safety of yourself and others following safety procedures and policies set by RPU
Any other duties as assigned.

Competencies
Ability to operate a tow motor
Ability to operate, trouble shoot and clean inside of machines as needed.
Neat handwriting
Computer skills
Interpret and comprehend instructions
Coordination of hand/foot/hearing
Able to read paperwork & read box label while seated on tow motor (3-high)
Ability to work with a variety of leadership, coworkers and front office staff
Must have excellent communication skills (email, voice mail, computer skills and leaves good notes.)

Ability to pass a background check, DMV check ( valid Driver's license, no current points) and 10 panel urine drug screen.
*High school diploma or GED needed
*Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
